Shipping and Returns
How long will it take to receive my order?

STANDARD SHIPPING TIMES vary, depending on your delivery location. Each product page lists a typical turnaround time for that item. Occasional backorders do occur, and if we are not able to ship within the specified time period listed, we will contact you via email -- make sure you check SPAM and Junk Mail folders.
With the exception of a DELAYED SHIPPING SCHEDULE, if an item is listed as " in stock", it will typically leave our location within 2-3 business days. This does not mean you will get it in 2 business days! Transit times can be anywhere from 2-10 business days, depending on your location, we cannot guarantee delivery dates.

**If you have an urgent or date specific need to receive an item, TELL US at checkout. There may be an additional charge for rush or urgent shipments if we need to use a more expensive shipping method - please make sure that we can reach you by phone or email to approve additional charges.
If we are unable to get a package to you in time for the deadline you give us, we will not ship it until we have confirmed with you that a later date is acceptable, so the latest date you need it is the best date to enter! Note that we do not guarantee on-time delivery, as transit is out of our control -- delivery guarantees provided by package carriers would apply. We ship all orders as soon as we can, we won't hold your order any later because you enter a date in this spot.
SHIPPING METHODS vary, we will typically ship the cheapest way in order to keep our prices down and your ultimate cost low. We use both UPS Ground and the US Postal Service for delivery, depending on who offers the cheapest rate. Delivery times will vary depending on your location from where the product is shipped.

What does "Ships via Truck" mean?

When you see the logo above, it means the item is too large or heavy to ship via Fedex, UPS or USPS. Truck shipments are typically shipped direct from the manufacturer's warehouse to keep costs down, and tracking is not always available.

Scheduled Deliveries - After placing an order for a truck shipped item, you will be contacted by a delivery company to schedule a convenient delivery window, as truck-shipped items must be signed for by an adult.*

Service Level - Standard truck deliveries do not include inside delivery unless specified on the product page. The driver is only responsible to deliver curbside, although some may bring to your door. If you would like services such as inside delivery, white glove delivery with unpacking, upstairs delivery, or specific time delivery, please contact us to see if additional charges may apply.

Damages - You will be asked to sign for any items which are delivered via truck. Please inspect the box and packaging and note any damages you see on the slip the driver provides, in the event that a claim must be made for hidden damages.

*If additional charges are incurred by us for extra services such as missed appointment, wait time, or services requested by you (white glove handling) that were not agreed upon, or any other services not listed, these will be charged to you or requested directly by the shipping company prior to the release of your items.

Returns - Please note that items shipped via truck must also be returned via truck. Truck delivery charges are higher than standard Fedex or UPS shipments, and these charges will be deducted from any refund or credit due on a return. Please contact us for assistance in returning a truck shipped item.

What does Free Shipping mean?
 
Simply look for the logo to enjoy free shipping on selected items throughout the store. "Free Shipping" when used on our site means that the cost of shipping is included in the stated price. No additional shipping charge will be added to your order when you purchase this item. If you return a "Free Shipping" item, you are responsible for return shipping charges, and our original shipping cost to send the item to you will be deducted from any refund or credit.
What is your Shipping Rebate Policy?
  Beginning January 1, 2015, Fedex and UPS Ground shipments became subject to new dimensional pricing for all packages in addition to a general rate increase. This represents the biggest rate increase in their history. As a result of these changes, the cost to ship many of our orders by Ground has risen significantly. We have been forced to change the way that we ship in order to keep our customers' shipping cost as low as possible.

Because of the nature of our store, where you can order multiple items which ship together, there is no completely accurate way for shopping cart software to compute how much the shipping charge for a particular order will be. We depend on our warehouse staff to look at each order to determine which size box is needed and which shipping method is the most economical.

Often the most economical shipping method is not the fastest, or the way which guarantees a certain delivery date. If you are in a rush for your order, we can always ship it the fastest way --- sometimes that is also the cheapest way, but sometimes the fastest way can increase the total cost above what was quoted in the shopping cart. There may even be instances where the cheapest way is also above our quoted shipping cost.

We reserve the right to revise any shipping and handling charges that may not cover our actual cost due to this change, and will contact you for approval of any surcharge that may apply. We will not add any fees to the order unless you approve them --- you will have the option to cancel any order if you don't wish to pay the additional shipping cost.

On the other hand, we also offer instant rebates on excess shipping and handling charges.

We are not in business to make money on these charges, they represent the cost of transit (UPS, USPS and Fedex charges), in addition to the cost of boxes, packing materials, and labor to pack and ship a box of product to your location. In the event that you have been overcharged for this, we will credit your order before charging your credit card.
Where do you ship to?
 
Shipping Destinations:

We ship primarily to the Continental United States, sometimes to Canada, Hawaii and Alaska with increased rates.

We are sorry, we no longer quote for international shipments. It takes time for us to do this and the vast majority of these requests are abandoned once the shipping rate is given.
We get a lot of requests from Australia and New Zealand, but the cost to ship there is usually more than the cost of the products, unfortunately.


What are the shipping & handling charges?
 
Estimated shipping and handling charges are added to your order prior to submitting your payment information. The shipping charges applied at checkout are based on the total dollar amount of your order as shown in the table below, however we will adjust this amount if our shipping cost is less, or contact you if the shipping cost is more than the amount listed below when we process your shipment. See below the chart for more details.
Carrier rates have increased an average of 5% each year, with dimensional pricing adding even more for all but small packages. *Packages which must travel far from us in PA may incur additional shipping fees*.
We offer some Free Shipping items throughout the store. If you are ordering a "Free Shipping" item in addition to items which are subject to a shipping charge, the shipping charges calculated in the cart will add in a charge for the Free shipping item. It is a glitch in our shopping cart program. We will usually catch this and deduct the added shipping charge from your total, but please make a notation in the comments section as well.

**A note about our shipping chart: Shipping charges include not only the cost for transit (USPS, Fedex or UPS charges), but the cost of boxes, packing materials and labor to pack and protect your order. We do not make money on our shipping charges, and will rebate back to you any excess shipping charges if our cost is less than you paid.

Conversely, due to significant rate increases by Fedex and UPS Ground in Jan 2018, some packages that were formerly inexpensive to ship just got more expensive. Sometimes the rate we charge above will not cover our cost to ship, based on a number of factors that can't be accounted for in the chart above (remote delivery location, low dollar amount order requiring a large shipping box, etc). We reserve the right to revise our shipping charges to reflect the actual cost to ship your order, and will contact you if there will be an additional shipping fee prior to completing your order. You will never be charged an additional amount unless you approve it first.

Due to the nature of our orders (multiple sizes and quantities of items are often ordered), our system cannot calculate all possible shipping combinations to determine box size; this must be done by humans who pack an order using the smallest box which can accommodate an order safely. Smaller boxes mean less shipping cost, and we make the best of all available space in a box. We always look for the cheapest delivery option available unless you request otherwise.

What is the return policy?
 
As always, all purchases at GreatRoomsDecor.com are covered by our 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with any Great Rooms Decor product, you may return it in its original packaging and in saleable condition within 60 days. Return costs are the responsibility of the customer, and our return policy is subject to the following conditions:
  • Within 30 days, you will receive a full refund of the purchase price less the original shipping and handling charges.*
  • After 30 days, a merchandise credit will be issued.
  • No returns will be processed after 60 days**.
*Excludes sale items, custom orders, Fabrice de Villeneuve, and Furniture purchases. Fabrice de Villeneuve Limited Edition prints carry a 15% restocking fee and shipping is not refundable. Sale items and custom orders are not returnable. Our actual shipping cost for "FREE SHIPPING" items will be deducted from your refund for returned products.
**We will extend our return policy to 30 days after Christmas for any orders purchased from October-December to allow for gift returns.

When will my credit appear on my account?
  Credits usually take 7-10 business days from the time we receive your item(s).
How do I return an item?
 
Items shipped from our location:

Please complete an Electronic Return Form. It is not necessary to print and enclose one in your return package if you complete this online.

If you prefer to print and enclose a form in your package, you may download a Printable Return Form.

Repackage the item securely to prevent any damage and return via insured Fedex Ground, UPS or USPS. If the returned item is damaged in transit, you will have to file an insurance claim with the shipper as we will not issue a credit or refund for damaged goods. We will photograph and send pictures of damages so you can provide proof of your claim.
Items must be returned in original packaging in saleable condition in order to receive a credit or refund.
**Custom, Personalized or special orders are not returnable**


Truck Shipped Items:
Some of our items are too large to be returned via Fedex, UPS or USPS. Contact us to arrange a return for any items which were delivered via truck freight. Please keep in mind that freight deliveries and returns will run significantly higher than standard ground delivery charges.
